Antigua shooting: Honeymoon husband dies

(04 August 2008)

Ben Mullany, the husband who was shot while on honeymoon at the Cocos Hotel in Antigua, has died in hospital.

He had been in a critical condition in Swansea's Morriston Hospital after being flown back from the Carribean on Saturday morning.

His wife, 31-year old doctor Catherine Mullany, was shot dead last Sunday morning in what has been reported as a "robbery gone wrong".

The couple had been on honeymoon when thieves broke into the couple's cottage at 5am on Sunday.
