Travel.co.uk goes live with package holidays

(02 July 2008)

A new website which allows travel agents and homeworkers to sell packages online has now gone live.

Travel.co.uk is initially featuring tradional packages and will add dynamic packages at a later date. The site - which aims to provide all the information needed in one place - offers TripAdvisor reviews, Google maps and videos.

Customers can choose whether to book through a travel agent, homeworker, direct with the operator or with an online travel agent.

Agents have the chance to choose which product they wish to sell, and at what price. They can promote their business by adding a picture and information about their services.

"The site is especially good for homeworkers, as not everyone is aware of their local homeworker and this a good way to introduce themselves," said Travel.co.uk director Ray Mason.

Travel.co.uk delivers the booking and funds to the agent and then invoices them for a fee 10 weeks before departure.
