Advantage boost in Triton sales

(02 June 2008)

Triton has seen sales of its own-brand bedbank through Advantage agents more than double.

Triton sales dircetor Andy Freeth said year-on-year bookings for bedbank Triton Rooms is up 176% while sales of Triton Holidays through Advantage agents have grown by 61%.

Sales of Triton in-house products are currently worth £140 million annually, generating commission payments of £15 million.

He added: “It’s down to a number of factors. The quality of the products is excellent and our contracting team has been able to secure great deals.

“We’ve spent a lot of time getting close to the agent community and it’s great to see the efforts of my team paying off. Essentially more and more agents understand the Triton products and are now confident about selling them.”

Freeth said customers are defying the current economic doom and gloom, adding: “Like a lot of companies, we’ve noticed bookings coming in quite late and consumers are hanging on a bit loonger.

“But they do want to go away and when they book up they are happy to buy Triton products.”
