An association of cruise travel agents is on a recruitment drive to double its membership to 80 within a year.

The Leading Cruise Agents of the UK, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, has 40 members.

In a bid to raise its profile the group has also bolstered its board with the appointment of Peter Deilmann River and Ocean Cruises managing director Stuart Perl to oversee marketing and promotions.

There are five board members and two associate members, all responsible for developing the association’s presence in the sector.

The LCA works with cruiselines to offer exclusive deals, market intelligence and networking opportunities to members. It updates its website with 100 different offers per week and aims to offer a trusted brand holidaymakers will use to book cruises.
