Thomas Cook Group buys businesses in India and Middle East

Thomas Cook Group has announced it is to buy a 75% stake in Thomas Cook India Limited and 100% of Thomas Cook branded businesses in Egypt.

The group, which  is also acquiring licences for the Thomas Cook brand in 15 Middle East countries, is purchasing the businesses from Dubai Financial Group LLC for a total cash consideration of between €208m and €249m.
