Royal Caribbean makes new appointments

(15 February 2008)

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line has made some internal appointments following the restructuring of the company.

Royal Caribbean's national account manager Karen Doyle, who joined the company back in 1998, will become head of national accounts for Celebrity Cruises and current head of field sales  Michael English will now move to become head of field sales for Celebrity. English has worked for Royal Caribbean since 1991.

Both Doyle and English will  report into the new sales director, who is yet to be appointed.

The internal changes are the first steps in the developments that will see the sales team increase by 30 per cent, and be restructured to create teams specific to each of the major brands; Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises.

Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises UK and Ireland managing director Jo Rzymowska said: "I am confident that we will continue our tradition of having the best sales force in the business, and I am excited about working closely with Karen Doyle and Michael English to create and motivate our newly defined teams.”
