Leisure technology supplier Comtec is planning to launch an upgrade of its comparison site travel.co.uk in May.

This follows a favourable response to the trial version of the comparison site, which was launched in April 2007.

The new site will focus initially on holiday products – subsequent releases will feature flight- and hotel-only offerings.

Details of specific features are still under wraps, but Teletextholidays boss Ray Mason, who is leading the development team for Comtec, said: “No-one else is doing what we have planned and we believe that travel providers will love it as much as customers."
