Costa Cruises introduces fuel supplement

(19 December 2007)

Costa Cruises is the latest company to introduce a fuel supplement of £2.50 per person per day.

This will apply to all new bookings made from December 21 for cruises departing after January 14 and before December 1 2008. The charge will not apply to bookings for cruises already underway on January 14.

The supplement will apply to every paying adult, including reduced third and fourth person fares. It will not apply to children under 18 occupying third and fourth cabin berths.

The charge, which is non commissionable, will be capped at £35 per person.

Fred Olsen and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd have also added fuel surcharges in recent months.
