Aircraft collide at Heathrow

(16 October 2007)

An investigation is underway at Heathrow after a minor collision between two aircraft at 10.15pm last night.

The British Airways Boeing 747 and the Sri Lankan Airlines Airbus A340 clipped wings on the taxi way of the northern runway.

The British Airways aircraft is this morning in a maintenance hanger.

A BAA spokeman told Travel Weekly that there were no reported injuries and the passengers were removed from the aircraft last night.
