Sabre upgrade offers travel information on mobile phones

(11 October 2007)

Agents using Sabre Travel Network are now able to send travel itineraries, destination guides and a currency converter to clients' mobile phones.

The customised service uses features found on the Sabre Virtually There website and can also be sent to other web-enabled mobile devices.

The information can be branded by individual agencies, and include their personalised logo and contact details.

Sabre Travel Network senior vice-president Europe, Middle East and Africa Martin Cowley said: “With the Virtually There tools accessible via mobile devices, travel agents can make their customers’ trips as stress-free as possible.

“These latest enhancements make it easier for agents to keep travellers up to date and in touch with the latest travel information – helping to build customer loyalty,” he added.
