Jet2holidays.com expands to Red Sea

(07 September 2007)

Jet2holidays.com has launched a winter package to Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, but will be using XL Airways to provide the flight, instead of sister airline Jet2.com.

In the first of a series of expansion plans, the company will offer flights departing Manchester to Egypt from November 4 using the XL Airways as Jet2.com doesn't serve that destination.

Managing director of jet2holidays.com Richard Bodin said: "We will continue to use Jet2.com flights for the vast majority of holidays, but it was always our intention to expand beyond their 39 destinations.

"Summer 2007 is well ahead of targets and if winter 2007/08 continues at this pace we will smash our forecasts."

Meanwhile, the airline is to launch a press and radio campaign to attract applications for cabin crew positions across its six UK bases. Interested parties should see jobs.jet2.com.
