Tralliance president and CEO quit - 02 Aug 2007

Ron Andruff, the pioneer of the dot-travel Internet domain, has stepped down as president of Tralliance, the e-commerce company which he co-founded seven years ago.

Cherian Mathai, the company's chief operating officer and Andruff's long-time business partner, has also resigned.

The executive departures follow an ongoing restructuring since the appointment of Ed Cespedes as Tralliance's chief executive 14 months ago. Cespedes will take over as president.

Tralliance's parent company, theglobe.com, has undergone its own restructure, appointing new management and aborting its Voice over Internet Protocol and Video Games businesses to focus on its dot-travel search engine, www.search.travel.

As of 30 June, 27,100 dot-travel domain names had been registered.
