TWcruise issue three - 30 Jul 2007

(30 July 2007)

TW Cruise issue threeCruiselines are increasingly targeting the family market.

Many of the major cruise operators are investing into children’s facilities at sea, from kids’ clubs to nightclubs, waterslides to surf-riders and everything in between.

In this issue of TW Cruise we meet a children’s club organiser whose job it is to keep her cruise ship fun. We also look at the booking structure for families – did you know children are charged as adults at different ages across the cruiselines?

Or that while many have fabulous family suites, others have no family rooms at all, meaning splitting families into two cabins or more at full price? Find out more on page 28.

The good news is that the cruiselines really are getting it right – to the point that almost a million youngsters are set to take a cruise this year. So if you want to build your cruise business, don’t forget who the real decision-makers are.
