Virgin Holidays launches agent training programme - 25 Jul 2007

(25 July 2007)

Virgin Holidays has launched a online travel agent training programme after a six months of research involving 500 agents.

General manager trade and retail sales Kieran Farragher said the first V.Learning module features Virgin's newest destination Mauritius.

It consists of a six-page guide that highlights activities, hotels and key information about the island. There is a 20-question exam to accompany the guide.

Farragher added that the guide has been designed so travel agents can also use it as a selling tool.

He said: "Agents said they wanted something that provides the essentials, but with some quirky facts they can pass on to customers."

More modules will be released throughout the year. Agents can access the modules at vhols4agents.com.
