Lastminute.com UK boss steps down - 24 July 2007

(24 July 2007)

Lastminute.com UK managing director Mark Jones is stepping down after three years working for the online travel agency.

His departure at the end of the month comes following last month’s announcement that lastminute.com would be realigning its business into two strands, a pan-European business-to-consumer division and a business-to-business division.

Jones had overseen the business and leadership changes required to implement the new strategy. He said he has no new job lined up and instead intends to spend time with his family before making a decision as to what to do next.

Chief executive Ian McCaig said: “Mark and I have worked extremely closely together over the past three years. He has been a pivotal figure in building the company during this time. I want to both thank Mark and wish him well for the future.”
