UK Cruise Convention 2007

Agents have been advised to set up their own social networking site in a bid to boost their cruise sales.

Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises UK sales and marketing director Jo Rzymowska said agents must understand customers' changing needs, using the amateur footage of Ocean Village Two and Liberty of the Seas that appeared on YouTube within hours of launch to illustrate her point.

'Why not set up your own MySpace page? How big is your cruise site?' she asked.

Rzymowska said agents also need to get their own bookable cruise website to boost business.

'You can find a cruise to suit every single one of your customers,' she said.

Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises used the UK Cruise Convention to showcase their revamped £100,000 interactive training programme to agents.
