Homeworker boosts cruise sales with local adverts - 10 May 2007

(10 May 2007)

Homeworker Andrew Fox is starting to see the benefits of a local advertising campaign as he looks to establish himself as a cruise specialist.

Fox, who is a personal travel adviser for Future Travel, said he has seen a 50% increase on his cruise bookings this year and is expecting to generate more business over the next three months.

Fox said: "I have had quite a few enquiries so far.

"I have a marketing plan that is coming into effect. I don't have a shop window that says 'I do cruise' so I have to push advertising in the local papers and e-mail customers in my database.

"So far I have had good sales with Complete Cruise Solution and Royal Caribbean International."

Fox said his biggest booking this year was for a £10,000 explorer cruise in the Maldives.
