Cruise Baltic targets UK market - 30 Apr 2007

(30 April 2007)

The Cruise Baltic coalition has launched a UK consumer and trade-facing campaign to attract more visitors to the region.

The launch features a customer facing website featuring a competition to win a 12-night Baltic cruise with Fred Olsen Cruises, and a web-based familiarisation tool for agents, which will go live in May.

Cruise Baltic’s project director Bo Nylandsted Larsen claimed the Baltic region was the fastest growing cruise holiday market in the world.

“I think we have a lot to offer,” said Nylandsted. “It is our intention to ensure that passenger growth continues, thanks to the combined know-how of the partners involved.”

Cruise Baltic is a collaboration between 35 partners and takes in 19 ports of call in 10 countries – Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia and Sweden. Its commercial partners are Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS Group) and SAS Radisson Hotels and Resorts.
