Travco to increase turnover by 50% - 28 Feb 2007

Hotel wholesaler Travco is predicting a turnover rise of 50% in 2007 to more than £120 million.

It plans to expand its 5,000 hotel product to increase 2006’s £80 million turnover to £120 million this year.

Travco is to increase the number of London hotels by 100 to 350, with new destinations being launched in France, Italy and Scandinavia.

Head of business development Robert Turner said London has “exceeded expectations” with more than 30,000 room nights sold in January.

Eastern Europe and Russia has achieved massive growth of 120% on 2006, with the company expecting to sell 40 hotels by the end of the year.
