Online tour operator Letsgo2.com has bought golf tour operator Whole World Golf Travel for an undisclosed sum.
Letsgo2.com, part of the Ickenham Travel Group that also owns travel management company Business Travel Direct, plans to launch a separate website Letsgo2golf.com next month as a result of the acquisition.
It currently offers tailor-made holidays, specialising in city breaks and long-haul holidays.
Under Letsgo2’s ownership the golf operator’s portfolio will also be expanded to include European destinations such as Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Italy, Turkey, Morocco, Dubai, the Caribbean, Thailand and Mauritius.
Whole World Golf Travel founder Fred Bickmore is taking on the new role of director of golf operations for Letsgo2. All staff are moving from the golf operator’s west London offices to Letsgo2’s New Malden premises in Surrey. There have been no redundancies.
