Hogg Robinson has bought Connecticut-based business travel agency Robustelli World Travel for an undisclosed sum.
The UK-based travel management company has made no secret of the fact it must grow its US presence since ending its joint-venture with BCD Holdings last month.
Hogg Robinson also owns US-based Sea Gate Travel, which it bought in 2005.
The executive management teams of Robustelli and Sea Gate will now merge to form an integrated US operation, according to Hogg Robinson chief executive David Radcliffe.
Founded in 1965 and based in Stamford, Robustelli's corporate clients include some Fortune 500 companies.
