Hardy shifts to The Last Resort

(23 October 2003)

TUI UK has appointed Neil Hardy as the new head of The First Resort.

Hardy will continue working as Page and Moy Retail head of commercial and marketing until he takes over the position at The First Resort, bought by TUI UK in July, at the end of the year.

He replaces Nigel David, who left to work as product director for Thomas Cook, and will report into TUI UK retail sales and operations director Miles Morgan.

Hardy said The First Resort was a great brand but admitted one of his tasks could be to raise its profile among consumers. “It’s something we’ll have to look at,” he said.

The First Resort sells holidays over the Internet and the phone but also works as the agent behind brands such as Sky Travel, Freeserve, AOL and Ebookers.
