Boom times over for Concorde

CONCORDE’s supersonic boom could be a thing of the past if business traffic does not pick up soon.

British Airways has admitted the jet’s future is under threat while all aspects of the airline’s operations are put under close scrutiny during difficult times for airlines.

The flagship of the BA fleet only offers daily flights to New York due to the downturn in premium traffic, but passenger doubts remain over the aircraft’s viability, especially following the Air France crash in 2000.
