HOLIDAY Hotels managing director Sara Zimmerman is to leave the company in the new year following a hold on international expansion.

The accommodation-only business is being integrated into the Holiday Autos business because it is "not the right environment" for expansion, and will be headed up by MD Doug Sawers.

Zimmerman, who has been with the Group for six years, will leave after a 'hand-over' period to Sawers in the New Year.

Group chairman Clive Jacobs said: "In the UK, we have decided that Holiday Hotels can best be served by fully leveraging the strengths of Holiday Autos, hence the decision to merge the two operations."

Also leaving is business development director Lorraine Kuban, who joined in July.
