ACCOLADIA commercial director Joanna Edmunds has been appointed managing director, effective from January 6.

Edmunds takes over from Richard Bowden-Doyle who was promoted to the position of managing director Thomas Cook specialist businesses division - of which accoladia is a part - earlier this month.

Edmunds was made Accoladia commercial director in August having been interim director for the six months before.

Bowden-Doyle said: "I am delighted to be passing the reins to Joanna. She has been a key member of the senior management team and has played a major role in setting our plans for 2003."
