Virgin changes agent commission structure

(18 December 2002)

VIRGIN Atlantic has revamped its agent remuneration structure with a new tiered commission system.

The airline is introducing a base commission of 7%, 5% and 4% for economy, premium economy and upper class sales respectively.

General sales manager Paul Wait said: "Virgin Atlantic's solution allows us to keep commissions whilst adopting a new system, which is not only competitive in the market place but will increase agents' profitability and our market share."

The new commission structure will come into effect from April 1.
