ryanair launches customer charter

(17 September 2002)

RYANAIR is to give away one million free seats to celebrate the launch of a customer charter.

The low-cost carrier is promising the general public that it will reduce fares below that of competitors special offers, sell all tickets on a one way basis to avoid restrictive return conditions, allow passengers to change flight times and make name changes, operate a quick check-in service, provide on-time performance and ban over-bookings.

Sales and marketing manager Europe Sinead Finn said: “This is a very significant milestone for Ryanair and the aviation industry in Europe. It clearly establishes the standards which other airline’s can’t match but which, on a day to day basis, Ryanair is reaching and surpassing.”
