THE first agency formed from a joint venture between American Express and China International Travel Service has opened in Beijing.

The business travel operation called CITS American Express Travel Services provides business travel services to multi-national companies including flight and hotel reservations and ticketing. China is potentially a very lucrative market for travel management companies with $10.3 billion spent on travel and entertainment expenses every year of which $4.2 billion are business travel expenses.
