Boomerang Travel ceases trading

(22 March 2002)

AUSTRALIAN specialist tour operator Boomerang Travel has ceased trading and gone into liquidation.

The Civil Aviation Authority has called the operator's £143,750 bond, which will be used to protect and refund its customers. Based in Ilford, Essex, Boomerang also traded as Scot and Fox. Licensable claims will be handled by the CAA; retail and non-licensable claims will be handled by ABTA's claims department. The company also used the trading names Kiwi Tours and Miles Ahead.
