FORMER Advantage Travel Centres managing director Ron Muir has died of a suspected heart attack.

He had nine years at the consortium before resigning two years ago as the franchise deal with Airtours neared collapse. Advantage general manager John Tindale said: “Ron will be missed by staff and by the membership. Many viewed him as a father figure. He was forthright, but respected across the trade.”
