USIT CAMPUS has gone into administration, Travel Weekly can reveal.

A total of 330 people have been made redundant from the agency, which concentrates on the student market.

Administrator Vivian Bairstow said 5,000 people have made bookings that are likely to be affected, although USIT Campus’s £1.3 million Air Travel Organiser’s Licence bond has been called in to compensate them.

In addition, 1,500 people who booked with the agency are abroad, although their travel plans will not be affected.
