lastminute and lufthansa work together

LASTMINUTE.COM hopes to increase its share of the European flights markets following the expansion of a deal with German flag carrier Lufthansa.

The deal will allow Lastminute to sell Lufthansa’s tickets in the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, South Africa and Sweden.

The two companies are also to work closely on marketing with Lufthansa’s products being advertised in e-mail newsletters that will go out to four million of Lastminute’s customers.

Lufthansa executive vice president sales Thierry Antinori said: “The partnership agreement with Lastminute.com is an extension of our successful nine-year relationship with Lastminute.com’s French subsidiary, Dégriftour, and enables us to further expand our lead position in Europe.”
