job cuts at worldspan

(25 October 2001)

GLOBAL distribution and technology company Worldspan has made 100 redundancies.

The job losses are across the whole business and includes some UK-based staff, although the company has not revealed how many have been affected.

In addition to the job losses, staff have been asked to take two unpaid days leave a month.

Worldspan blames the cost cutting measures on the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US.
