THE WALES Tourist Board has appointed four strategy directors to head up its new Regional Tourism Partnerships (RTP).
North Wales Tourism managing director Dewi Davies will become strategy director for the North Wales RTP, while Isle of Anglesey County Council tourism and marketing manager Dee Reynolds takes on the strategy director’s role in Mid Wales. Additionally, National Botanical Garden of Wales marketing manager Gary Davies will become strategy director for the Southwest RTP while the same role at the Southeast RTP will go to Tourism South & West Wales managing director Peter Cole.
The RTP’s will come into force in April 2002 and will replace the three private companies that currently represent the Welsh tourism industry at a regional level.
